I am not a copywriter but I do visit and create websites, I have for quite a while. As a web designer I have found that sometimes clients are so familiar with their own content, they can forget about how their content will "sound" to their visitors. For a site to be truly successful, the copy should be short, well written and to the point.
Remember, your site visitors are human beings, not computers. Write your copy so that you can keep your visitor's attention and so they can understand what you are saying.
